The third installment of the ATP US Festival at Kutsher’s Country Club in New York is set for Labor Day weekend. This year’s festival not only showcases great musical acts, but special guest curator Jim Jarmusch for a 3-day event that promises to deliver as much, if not more, as ATP NY shows of the past.
Friday, September 3 marks the opening of this year’s ATP festival at Kutsher’s Country Club, Monticello. The first day is dedicated to the Don’t Look Back segment with current confirmed guests Iggy Pop & The Stooges, Sleep, Mudhoney, and The Scientists (in their first ever U.S. show).
On Saturday, September 4, ATP will celebrate its 10-year existence with performances by Sonic Youth, Explosions in the Sky, The Breeders, Fuck Buttons, The Books, Papa M, and Apse.
The final day of the event will be curated by filmmaker Jim Jarmusch who has selected The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Raekwon, Girls, Fucked Up, Wooden Shjips, The Black Angels, and Vivian Girls as his first choices.
All lineups are confirmed as of now, but may feature additional artists in the coming months. The entire weekend will also highlight various DJs and cinema by Criterion.
